Kendall visits Mom's work at Gillette

Kendall had her hip ultrasound today and we are very happy to say that she has no hip problems. We decided to stop by and see Janie and some other co-workers I previously worked with at Children's Hospital. They of course adored Kendall. We will definitely have to visit again!

And since we were in St. Paul we made a stop by Gillette Children's to see my current co-workers. Oh my, they sure were excited to see Kendall!! Of course the most popular comment was...you guessed it...LOOK AT THAT HAIR!!! It was a nice visit for us. Of course I like being home with Kendall more, but I do miss my friends and work except the candy basket (for old times sake I grabbed some).

Kendall and I are getting the hang of things...we have a schedule of activities that we do during the day: stroller walks, tummy time, reading, listening and dancing to music, watching The Ellen Show and As the World Turns, and playing in her Einstein play area.

Kendall has inherited mom's short stature! Grandma already altered one of Kendall's outfits to better fit her petite body. We took Kendall shopping today...Grandma had a blast pushing her in the stroller and Kendall loved being out and about. I have a feeling this is one of the many shopping days that we will have together!

Kendall's First Doctor's Visit

I think Kendall is not sure what she thinks about going to the doctor.

The stats from the doctor's visit:

Weight: 7# 7 ounces

Height: 19.5 inches

OFC: 13.5 inches

Dr. Scallon would like us to schedule an ultrasound at Children's to make sure Kendall's hips are appropriately in place due to her being breech which can result in hip dysplasia. He does not suspect any problems by his exam but would rest easier if an ultrasound verified it. Other than that, Kendall checked out great and she was a trooper during the visit making it a fun outing for us.

Jeff's Grandmother June visited Kendall along with Great Aunt Lisa! Jeff and I had a nice time visiting with them and wish June a nice time during her visit to England.

Great Aunt Barb stopped by with Cousin Sam's wife Julie! Julie and Sam gave Kendall a Vikings football outfit that I am sure Grandpa Perunovich will like and Grandpa Campbell will not care for! Although maybe we all should be Jets fans!!

Great Aunt Donna came to visit Kendall but we forgot to snap a picture of it! Thank you Donna for the fun visit...I always enjoy chatting with you. You are a blast to be around and your new grand-daugther is very lucky to have you in her life. Best wishes to the new parents: Christopher and Lita who had a baby girl named Melita on Sept 3rd.

Our friends from college, Mondovi and Kate stopped by with their daughter Jordan to meet Kendall. Jordan sure has grown...we had not since her since she was a newborn. She is adorable and again...we forgot to take pictures. I guess Jeff and I get so wrapped up in conversations that we forget to snap pictures.

Kendall is 2 Weeks Old!

Wow, our little sweet pea is 2 weeks old! Jeff has gone back to work and wishes he had another week to spend with me and Kendall. I am anxious to have my restrictions lifted this week so that I can take Kendall for stroller walks to get some exercise and fresh air. Thank you to my mom for helping us out the past couple weeks...Kendall already misses her Grandma.
