Party at Wilson's

Kendall with Great Aunt Danielle and Great Grandma...if Kendall wasn't in Alexia's arms then she was in Danielle's. Kendall had a lot of fun hanging out with the Perunovich's and Wilson's today. She endulged in some real delicious food too...watermelon, strawberries, cornbread, shredded meat, and healthy pasta salad. All of us had a great time and again enjoyed great company with some great music...this is what summer is all about!
All the goofy games Great Uncle Jim played she loved. He is so much fun!!!
I love this picture!!!
Kendall enjoying the music...she especially liked the Green Day song and Stevie Ray Vaughn song ;)

Thoughts inspired by Julie

(click above to see a beautiful video made by Julie's "photography" friends)

These past few days have left me thinking a lot about life...what is my purpose, what means the most to me, how do I want to live this life.
Today we picked some flowers from the garden and took a walk down by the river near and let them go...

There truly are not many days where I don't think about Julie...some days I smile from memories as I look at the butterfly painting in Kendall's room, when I catch a glimpse of Julie's picture on the refrigerator it makes me realize how blessed I am to have my life...my husband and 'baby' girl, and of course sadness on days like today and holidays where her friends and family miss her lengthy conversations and laughter.
We also had a picnic outside today by a park near the river.

The purpose of life is to enjoy every moment.

Happy Father's Day!!

Kendall is a daddy's girl, that's for sure!! We had a nice Father's Day although Jeff had to go to work. We made him a home-made ice cream cake to celebrate how great of a father he is!
Today was our first Sea Turtle class at the YMCA. Uncle Steve would be very proud of Kendall!! She absolutely loved the class...splashing, singing, and reaching for sinking toys. It was an awesome class and I am so happy we have 7 more sessions!

Saturday in the Sun

At first she didn't like the pool...I think the giraffe head scared her, but she warmed up to it and then enjoyed it. Carefully checking out the spots.

A video of our little Sea Turtle splashing.
Later on we went to an outside wedding reception in Prior Lake. She went back and forth from watching the kids play in the lake to clapping with the music.
Louisa loving Kendall up! We already have a Sammy's Pizza feast in the works for this summer...Lousia would like to start Kendall early as a sauce taster. ;)

Congrats Matt and Brandy! Brandy is a good friend of mine from High School and the wedding was in Las Vegas back in October so we weren't able to attend due to Kendall only being a couple months old. We enjoyed ourselves with the delicious food and great music.

Graduation Party

Kendall helping Grandpa Campbell open his gift.
Kendall getting excited with Jenny (I think there was a dog walking under the picnic table).
Kendall with Willy-her favorite dog
Tracy helping Kendall pet nicely
Picture of the weekend...how hilarous is this?
Kendall didn't know what to think of the pool..she was too busy watching the kids play to notice she was in the pool herself. What a beautiful weekend we had celebrating the graduations in the family. Good Luck to Jenny, Rachel, and John!

Boating with the Campbell's

Kendall watching the process of launching a boat...
still not quite sure what to think...
waiting...
Oh, I get it...round of applause for a smooth boat launch!

Kendall's holding on!
The weekend fun must have finally caught up with her!
Still snoozing...
And still sleeping even after a hand off to Uncle Brett...it kind looked like a rescue team effort since we didn't want to wake her.

Feeding the Ducks

Kendall watching the ducks eat crackers.
My friend Amy (and her son Max) introduced us to the duck feeding place in River Falls which also has a nice walkway to a park. I know that we will be doing this outing quite a bit since it is so close to home.

Sunday Tasks

Kendall and I talked about the colors and types of flowers and plants at Gerten's while Grandma Perunovich shopped for her flowers. We picked up a blueberry plant and a Pesto herb plant. Gerten's always has such beautiful flower arrangements and garden decor.
Jeff finished our vegetable garden fence (doesn't it look awesome?!?) so we were able to plant our produce.
We are starting with brocolli, spaghetti squash, zucchini, pumpkin, tomatoes, red/green peppers, carrots (Kendall's favorite), romaine lettuce, chives, spinach (my favorite), green beans, bluberries, strawberries, watermelon and corn (Jeff's favorite).

Kendall played especially hard today with her animal blocks, mirrors, socks, duck slippers, and Izzy!

My parents recently visited my brother in New York city and brought back these adorable pajammas.

Rainy Day at Como Zoo

We decided to spend the day at the zoo inspite of the rain. She was able to finally see the animals in her books in life and I don't think she was disappointed. The swinging monkeys and the male lion were her favorite animals...she just giggled at them.
Here with my favorite zoo exhibit, Penguins
Jeff also liked the swinging monkeys the best...and the machine that makes plastic animals. Aunt Rachel liked the tiny monkeys named Empire monkeys the best.
"Holy Carrots," that is much bigger than my kitty!
My mom thought the zebras were the most entertaining since one of them was going wild running around. After visiting the animals at the zoo, Kendall had her first ride on a carousel...she was laughing and screaming in excitement. It was really a lot of fun for all of us.
